BMX RACING AT THE OLYMPIC !!!

YES, ITS REAL BMX RACING WAS AT THE OLYMPIC THIS SUMMER IN BEIJING. YOUR WERE NOT DREAMING, IT WAS REALLY THERE AND IT ROCK!!! LOTS OF COUNTRY WERE REPRESENTED, EVEN CANADA WITH 2 ATHLETES, SAMANTHA COOLS AND SCOTT ERWOODS.

SCOTT DID A GREAT JOB WITH PLACING HIMSELF ON GOOD POSITION WITH ALL THE OTHER TOP RANK RIDERS. HE DIDN’T HAVE TOO MUCH PRESSURES CAUSE IS CHANCE WERE VERY SLIM TO TAKE PART IN THE BIG FINALE. HE HAD NOTHING TO LOOSE BUT EVERY THING TO WIN. HE RACE HARD AND SMOOTH AND WAS RIGHT IN THE MIX WITH THE SECOND GROUP OF COMPETITORS. UNFORTUNATLY HE DIDN’T QUALIFY FOR THE GRANDE FINALE. AS FOR SAMANTHA, SHE HAD LOTS OF PRESSURES BEING AT THE TOP FOR SOO MANY YEARS WITH HER MULTI AMATEURS AND JUNIORS WORLD CHAMP. THE PRESSURE WAS THERE AND WE COULD FEEL IT. SHE WENT THRU ALL THE QUALIFYING AND WAS ON THE GATE FOR THE GRANDE FINALE!!! UNFORTUNATLY, SHE CRASH ON THE FIRST JUMP AND LOST ALL HOPE FOR A MEDAL. BOTH OF THEM DID GREAT CONSIDERING THE LEVEL OF THE COMPETITION.

THE WOMANS FINALE WAS EXCITING WITH CHAUSSON AND READE WHO BATTLED IT ALL THE WAY DOWN. THE FRENCH HAD MORE POWER AND WAS LEADING READE TO THE LAST BERM WHO TRYED EVERYTHING TO PASS HER IN THE TURN. SHE TRYED THE INSIDE SWOOP BUT TOO LATE, CHAUSSON WAS TO FAR IN FRONT, READE RANED INTO CHAUSSON’S BIKE AND CRASHED … THAT WAS IT FOR MISS WORLD CHAMP WHO DOMINATE EVERY RACE FOR THE LAST 2-3 YEARS. AFTER THE CRASH IT WAS LE CORGUILLE THE OTHER FRENCH GIRL WHO TOOK SECOND WHILE THE AMERICAN JILL KITNER TOOK THIRD. GREAT RACING !!!

MEN FINALE WAS EVEN MORE EXCITING WITH 3-4 GUYS THAT WERE ABLE TO TAKE THE GOLD MEDAL. AT THE START STROMBERG AND DAY TOOK THE LEAD FOLLOWED BY NHLAPO IN 3RD.  AS IT WAS ANTICIPATED, AFTER THE BIG BIG MEGA HUGE DOUBLE OVER THE BURM, CRASH HAPPENED AND THE NEW TALENDED RECRUTE, NHLAPO WAS OUT, LEAVING THE 3RD SPOT FOR USA RIDER DONNY ROBINSIN. POSITION STAYED THE SAME TO THE FINISH STROMBERG 1ST, DAY 2ND, AND ROBINSON 3RD !!!!
